The lake in many places is hard to fish with spinners and really asks to be fished with a fly rod. Little water, lots of weeds are perfect for fly fishing. It requires a gentle approach not to spook fish and a good control and presentation of your fly.

The nearby river has some grayling and trout fishing for those who want to escape the lake.
